Sol Mate, completed in 2017, was decorated in an elegant but comfortable beach style and thoughtfully stocked with an abundance of amenities. Situated at the north end of the Cape; it’s a short walk to St. Joseph Peninsula State Park, and just a few steps to the sand and water’s edge. Swim, kayak, paddle board and play in the Gulf and Bay.
The ground floor has parking for up to 5 cars, elevator access, an outdoor shower/restroom and locking storage for beach toys. The main level includes a spacious kitchen/living/family room. Ten foot ceilings and a wall of windows provide a bright, airy and open gathering space.
The decks provide a venue for relaxing and taking in the exceptional view. The dining table seats 10, with an additional 4 seats at a kitchen island. The kitchen is loaded with prep and serving amenities; two dishwashers, a beverage fridge, a professional ice maker and more. There is a queen guest suite with a bath on this level, and a king suite with a bath as well.
The third level features the master king suite, a king guest room, and a guest room with 2 XL twin beds, and a full bath. Each room faces the Gulf with access to the balcony.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 9 ranging in age 6-80s love Sol Mate. We enjoy preparing our meals and the kitchen is well equipped. Having two dishwashers is a bonus which means you don’t have dirty dishes waiting for an empty dishwasher. Sipping morning coffee on the deck watching dolphins play in the surf makes mornings special. The kayaks and other toys provided add to fun on the beach and also observing turtles, fish and other things up close out in the ocean. The house is clean and well maintained. Brian and Donna are always helpful if you have any questions. The sunsets on the beach are spectacular. It is a family friendly beach and not crowded leaving plenty of room for games on the beach. We are repeat renters and our family looks,forward to returning to Sol Mate each summer.

Summary: This house was amazing! It was well equipped, had a lot of amenities provided that most places don't include. The views were outstanding! We especially appreciated how equipped it was for our little ones. This is not a hustling and bustling area, but rather a quiet, calm slice of heaven! We really enjoyed our stay!

The grandchildren range in age from 6 to 18 and all love the accommodations and toys available for the beach. The kayak gave them an opportunity to observe dolphins and sea turtles up close. They even saw a shark. The kitchen is well stocked so preparing meals isn’t a challenge. Having beach towels is an extra bonus. Everything is supplied for the first couple of days so you don’t have to go to the store immediately upon arrival. The house is very clean and flowers are a special welcoming touch. If an issue does occur, they are quick to respond Brian and Donna are the best to work with and find the perfect beach home for your family

Summary: No detail has been missed at Sol Mate - truly a vacationer’s dream. Just to name a few of the many details that impressed us during our week here: beach towels provided, nightlights and retractable baby gates installed, all the beach gear you could dream of, full size shampoo and conditioner bottles in each shower, laundry detergent/dishwasher pods/trash bags provided, and so much more - all allowing for an easy & worry free vacation. The kitchen had everything we needed and more to cook each night. The house and beach access are spectacular. The views, especially of sunset, are unmatched. On top of all that, when we had an issue with one of the AC units during our stay, Brian had it repaired within 2 hours of my email informing him of the issue. Truly impeccable. We cannot wait to return!
